I just concluded my first year as the inaugural Director of the Residential Commons Program at Colgate University. My research looks at representations of mothering practices, especially "monstrous mothering" (with those quotes deliberately used). I love to talk about the ethics of mothers writing about their children. My self-care practices include needlepoint and voracious reading. I love to hike and tolerate running at a painfully slow pace (because I always feel better after). My husband and I are raising a fiercely feminist teenager.
